This is a great set of instructions from Unsophisticook to make a fantastic no-sew heating pad!

First, you need to get all of your supplies. For this no-sew heating pad, you’ll need knee socks (or baby leg warmers), baker’s twine, 2 cups of white rice, an empty toilet paper roll, and 10 drops of your favorite essential oil (if you want, I like to use Lavender or the Pan Away blend from Young Living).

Take your baker’s twine, and tie up one end of the knee socks. Make sure it’s tight so that everything stays together! You can even double knot for an added sense of security.

If you have essential oils, now is the time to add a few drops to your rice. This makes the heating pad smell a lot better! I like to use lavender, but you can use whatever scent you want.

Now, take the empty toilet paper roll, stick it in the sock (like a funnel), and pour your rice into the sock. When it’s filled, just tie off the other end of the sock or leg warmer and you’re good to go! It’s just that simple!

Rice will get stinky after a time. I use flax seed. What is that grain at the bottom that she is holding in her hand? Make sure you do not overheat these grains!
