CDC Guidelines For Hand Sanitizer
Everyone needs to know that the CDC recommends washing your hands with soap and water whenever possible. However, we all know that there are times when it isn’t possible. That’s where hand sanitizers come in.

Homemade hand sanitizer recipes must have at least 60% ethyl alcohol in the final product to be effective at killing germs on your hands. A lower percentage may inhibit growth of some of the bacteria, but won’t kill everything. And hand sanitizer in general does not kill as many germs as washing with soap and water.
