It is hard to believe the amount of dirt and grime that builds up between the tracks of your sliding door. The dirt looks awful, and is difficult to clean! After months of battling this annoying problem, we have figured out how to easily clean your sliding door tracks. You’ll love this!
Before beginning, you will need the following items:
1. Old toothbrush
2. Rags
4. Soap and Water
5. Vacuum
6. Spray Cleaner
First, spray the WD-40 on the tracks. Be sure to slide the door open a few times to distribute the cleaning spray. Use a rag and wipe up any excess product. Next, use your soapy water and a rag to scrub the grime off your tracks. Use an old toothbrush (or a butter knife) to get in between the cracks and really give the area a good scrub down.
Remove any excess dirty with the vacuum attachment. Break out the Windex (or similar spray cleaner) and wipe everything down one more time. Dry with a clean rag. See, that was almost too easy!

It is a great idea to use the vacuum for this, I don’t know why I haven’t thought of it before. below a sliding door can get pretty dirty, but usually I just ignore it. I think that vacuuming up this little trail of dirt could really help it to feel cleaner. Thank you for all of the helpful tips!

Where did you get such a skinny toothbrush?

Kids toothbrushes are usually a great way to go, but some craft stores sell them as well (helpful for when you’re cleaning your craft supplies)
