10 Genius Cleaning Shortcuts You Can’t Miss

Carpet: Instead of cleaning the carpets throughout your entire home, spend quality time on the high-traffic areas that tend to need it the most. Use your vacuum and its attachments to thoroughly remove loose dirt, then follow that up with a good spot cleaner and white microfiber towels on any stains. A portable carpet steamer can help clear up tough stains.

Hardwood Floors: Run a lamb’s wool mop over hardwood floors. The natural lanolins in the lamb’s wool give a quick shine to hardwood floors with only a little bit of time investment.

Windows:Focus on cleaning the outside of your windows where the most dirt happens. Be sure to choose a cloudy day with no wind or rain and the job will automatically be easier. {Bright sunlight heats the windows and encourages streaking}.

Curtains:Use a portable steam machine to steam your curtains while they hang. The steam will remove any stains and odors, and give them an instant refresh without you having to take them down or rehang them.

For stove bowls: Put your dirty bowls in a gallon Ziploc with 1/4 – 1/3 cup of straight amonia. Seal it up overnight. Next day take one out at a time, (mind the fumes) and clean with an sos pad. Comes clean with almost no effort!
I don’t put more than two at a time. This is for the chrome bowls.
