It’s normal to have furniture besides your bed in your bedroom. So, with that extra furniture, make sure it has storage for you to keep things organized. A storage ottoman is a perfect example of a piece of bedroom furniture that doubles as storage.
When picking a nightstand, make sure you choose one with plenty of drawers and storage. You can get a nice nightstand that looks great and increases your storage space if you’re willing to look.
Install some hidden storage in your headboard that allows you to keep small things like glasses, books, etc., near the bed without being a clutter.
You can’t talk about bedroom organization without mentioning under the bed storage. Get rolling drawers that allow you to easily pull them in and out whenever you need them.
Instead of having your phone sitting on the nightstand, decorate it up a bit and cut out the inside of a book. You can now store your phone there and charge it without being such an eyesore!
The closet is where you should master your organization so the mess doesn’t spill out into the rest of the bedroom. Invest in bins, containers, and other organization and storage products.
Make sure you’re utilizing as much vertical space as possible in your bedroom, especially if it’s small. Choose tall and skinny storage instead of long and short.
One of the biggest messes in a bedroom is the dreaded shoe pile. So, make sure you get that under control before you move to the rest of the bedroom. You can use any sort of organizer, as long as you like it and it looks good.
You should also get your jewelry organized as well. It looks cluttered when you have clumps of jewelry sitting on your dresser and nightstand. You can make your own organizer or find one for pretty cheap.
Always make your bed every day. It may sound small, but making your bed will set you in the right mood and stop you from making the mess any bigger throughout the rest of the day.
