Holiday Organization
- Set up a spot for incoming purchased gifts. This way you will know where everything is and it will all be in one spot (this will reduce overall clutter). If you’ve ever hidden a gift away so well that even you can’t find it later, you will appreciate this tip!
- Nearby where you will be stowing your Christmas gifts, set up a gift wrapping command center. It doesn’t necessarily have to stay out in the open, but you want to make everything you will be using to wrap those gifts readily accessible, quickly and easily. If you’re a mom of little kids, you know that the times you get to wrap gifts can be fleeting. If you have a gift wrapping command center set up, it’s a quick thing to run in and wrap a few gifts anytime the kids are away from the house.
- Hopefully you are well aware of the perks of online shopping! Amazon makes it incredibly easy with lists, tracking, and Prime free shipping. If you’ve never used it, it’s worth checking out. I let my older kids make wish lists in Amazon so that when I shop, I can readily see what they are hoping for. This is definitely high on the list of ways to reduce holiday stress!
- Make sure to use a calendar app {or a paper calendar if you prefer it} to keep track of all your holiday events and parties. Staying on top of upcoming events is one way to stay sane during those busy holidays!
- Finally, before the holidays hit, try de-cluttering your spaces to make room for the extra decorations, gifts, and guests that will soon take over. It’s the perfect time to clear out what you don’t need and don’t have time for any longer. You’ll feel better!
Try these tips to reduce holiday stress and enjoy the holidays more than ever before!
