The PetSafe uses crystal litter to absorb and remove odors, and everything locks securely away in a trap. So when you do have to change out the system, you won’t even see your cat’s waste. Pretty amazing if you ask me!
Mid-Range Option
Another self-cleaning litter box option available at Amazon is the Omega Paw Elite. It has a much smaller price tag than the PetSafe, but is also rates very highly by users. This litter box uses a sifting grill in the bottom to remove wastes and hold them in a trap.
The Omega litter box also features a special “litter step” to catch excess litter as your cat leaves the box, so nothing drags out with him.
Budget-Friendly Self-Cleaning Litter Box
The third option falls squarely in the middle on price, but is also from PetSafe. The PetSafe Simply Clean is for cats under 15 pounds, and only needs to be cleaned every two weeks {for a one-cat home}. The bonus with this design is that it uses less litter than a traditional litter box. This litter box uses a very slow, continuous movement to sift out solid waste and move it up through a conveyor belt and into the waste bin. This means that odors are also locked away!
