Are your dresser or armoire drawers in need of an overhaul? Are they stuffed full, making it hard for you to find what you need? You certainly don’t need that frustration when you’re trying to get dressed in the morning. Good thing it won’t be hard to whip those drawers into shape and keep them that way. Here’s how.
1. Get Trinkets Out of Drawers
Little things such as jewelry or lotions can get lost in your drawers. Instead, find a cute tray for these items, along with a little dish or bowl for the rings and earrings you take off before bed.
2. Keep Go-To Jewelry on the Wall
Yes, on the wall. With a jewelry board, you can keep your top 5-10 pairs of earrings, bracelets, and necklaces untangled and easy to grab. And they won’t get lost in a drawer.
3. Divide & Conquer
You’ll be surprised what a simple drawer divider can do for socks, underwear, even shirts. You can make your own out of cardboard if you wish, or pick up some handy adjustable dividers. That way, you can store smaller items like camisoles, pantyhose, socks, and more in organized, or individual compartments.
4. Box the Bras
Okay ladies. We know that bras tend to get mushed into whatever space you have. After getting rid of the ones that really don’t fit or are too stretched out to do the job, get a rectangular box (even a shoe box) to keep them neat and safe inside any drawer.
5. Roll or Fold?
When it comes to storing clothes, most of us are folders. But if you want to maximize storage AND minimize wrinkles, there may be a better way. As a general rule, fold cutting tops. But you can roll tees of synthetic material, because they won’t generally wrinkle. You can also roll undershirts and tanks. And sure, it’s quick to wad your tights up into a ball and throw them in a drawer, but try rolling them instead. They’ll be neater and easier to find.
